Dear all,
I hope you are all doing well, just like us. We have not been sick by the covid, so far (finger crossed). We have some news to give you (but not so exceptional with regards to our moves): we are moving (again!)
Anyway ... only in a 1.5 months ??? During covid ??? Foolish !
I feel your impatience to know where will be the next place ! but ... let’s be a bit naughty here by playing a little bit ... with your nerves (yes, it's cruel, I admit !)
I feel your feverish impatience, your insane curiosity taking over and your imagination telling you “but where will they go this time?”
Well in a country where the fight has always been on, where the roots are so strong that it was necessary to reintroduce the own regional language at school, where landscapes are astonished, the cool temperatures and the weather hum, but only in the northern part of it, huh? ... good then ? You guessed ??
Noooooo, it's not in Canada! Neither in Denmark or Norway ... it's nothing more than Brittany! Oh yes ! We are going to live in our house in Brittany, that used to be only a secondary house !
Indeed, we have had a house there for 2 years, mainly to store our furnitures and stuff and spend few weeks in the summer. Gaetan's work offers him to be a “construction manager”, sort of on an off shore contract, always in the same company, always with the boats ... so the “little” tribe follows, cheerfully or with difficulty! From Dunkirk, we have moved a lot (too much, no doubt) : China, England, Singapore, Azerbaijan and the Netherlands, the last two destinations being for barely a year. It is too short !
Charline is now 14 years old and she is a real teen ... for her, it will be the last year of secondary next year ...
12-year-old Hector will be entering the secondary 2 grade next year and he becomes a real teen also ... it's hard to manage his addiction to screens ...
Edgar is 10 years old (11 in October) but we feel that he is taking the same path as his older brother ... he will enter secondary school next year
Clovis is 8 years old (10 in October) and is still very much in lego, even if he loves to play with a controller in his hands too! He is entering his 4th year of primary next year.
Gaëtan is doing well (he's getting older ! Like all of us, yes, I know! 🤣 I cannot explain my bad mood in front of the mirror in the morning!).
Me, with confinement, I had to ajust to seeing my living space invaded, even if what bothered me the most was managing 2 meals a day! 😂 and of course to motivate everyone to work!
That said, confinement in the Netherlands was much lighter than in France: no certificates to provide, you could bike, run ... more than 1 km ... However, Charline went out only after 49 days, preferring the sofa she was cheerfully sat on !!! Feeling of despair here from both her parents ! The article on confinement is in preparation: I had to deliver you our fresh news faster !!
Because with distance we could do anything, I am cheering and hugging you !
